boutique hotel is located
within the three-storey neo-
classical building. It also hosts
its famous Sekeping Kong
Heng coffee shop (kopitiam)
on the ground floor. In recent
times, an extension has been added at the
back, tucked away to reveal a cool shaded
inner courtyard with a dramatic stairway
to take guests up to their rooms.
All effort has been made to preserve the
original character of the existing building.
It was also formerly used as a hostel to
house theatre performers, who performed
at the adjacent theatre building that burnt
down in the 1950’s.
