forest. With neither cars
nor roads on this island, it will certainly
whisk you away to a tropical island retreat,
a city break worth considering.
The smaller of the two islands,
Perhentian Kecil or “Small Perhentian”
Island has a laid back atmosphere with
small fishing villages and footpaths
through the forest. You can take some time
to enjoy the sunrise or sunset on either

Perhentian Kecil is a much sought after
diving paradise where operators offer
snorkelling trips to nearby islands.
Pasir Panjang or “Long beach” is a
popular destination with its stretch of long
white sandy beach fringing the shallow
crystal waters. The beach is also dotted
about with restaurants and bars that offer
a relaxing atmosphere to spend your
leisure time. Secluded beaches around
the island are also a favourite among
the international set of sun worshipping
tourists.
