biodiversity. The peninsula is
surrounded by sea, making it an
ideal stopping point for an array of
migratory birds. Raptors soaring
high in the skies are easily noticed. These birds of
prey are on top of the food chain thanks to their
well-developed hunting skills, exceptional vision,
powerful talons and beaks. Most diurnal birds of
prey are monogamous and their breeding season
is marked by an increase in aerial display.
