the course thanks to the motivation from
my friends’ cheering. Overall, it was one
of the most thrilling, fun, frustrating, and
enlightening experiences of my life. The
adrenaline thrill was immense – we were
so pumped up from it that we could not
stop talking about it hours after we left.
According to Azlan, Skytrex is almost
always fully booked during the weekends,
so here’s a tip: Always book early online
through their website. And if you’re in-
terested in going on a weekday, do bear
in mind that weekday slots are mainly
reserved for corporate or group bookings
of at least 25 adrenaline seekers. Skytrex
can also be found in Langkawi, featuring
60 challenges in total at Skytrex Perdana
Quay.

I sailed through the scarier, but more
worthwhile flying fox towards the vast
unknown that I had to traipse through.
The most challenging obstacle, how-
ever, was the one that required us to walk
on poles. It was composed of hollow
horizontal and vertical tubes, which
were rickety and wobbly and all sorts of
horrible, to the point where I wanted to
chicken out.
I gingerly stepped on the first horizontal
tube to feel it sway far out under me,
which almost made me vomit my heart
out. I kid you not, it sure felt exactly like
that. If not for my friends there, I would
have probably chickened out and regret
wasting the rest of the course that I had
so painstakingly gone through.
And that’s the thing about Skytrex. It
pushes you to limits you never knew you
could hit and challenges your fears, as-
sumptions and capabilities about yourself.
On the ground or behind a computer, the
images you see of people on ropes and
harnesses honestly does little to scare
