Calling Art Aficionados!
G13
Gallery is pleased to present
Khairudin Zainudin’s inaugural solo
exhibition, “Senyap dalamGege”. The
young emerging contemporary artist
will showcase eighteen pieces of his
latest mixed media works on paper
and canvases of various dimensions,
presenting the many facets of the
ordinary folks.
The Kelantan native who gradu-
ated from UiTM in 2011 has been
building a steady reputation for
himself with his unique approach to
documenting the daily activities of
the everyday Malaysians. Whether at
work, rest or play, Khairudin deftly
captures their various gestures and
movements with his signature strokes
and minimal washes of colours. By
presenting their assorted actions and
reactions simultaneously, overlapping
the main image of his subject matter,
their restless dispositions, private pre-
occupations and bodily expressions
are on full display, underscoring the
unpredictability of human responses
to situations and the complexities of
human behaviour.
The exhibition will be run from
13 to 27 September, 2014 at G13
Gallery in Kelana Jaya, Selangor. The
gallery opens daily from 11a.m. to
5p.m., except for Sundays and Public
Holidays. An official opening recep-
tion will be held on 20 September
at 8p.m. onwards and the public is
welcome to join.
