Firefly Introduces Ipoh - Johor Bahru Route
Good news for those in Ipoh and Johor Bahru! Traveling gets even
easier as Firefly now offers four times weekly flights from Ipoh to
Johor Bahru.
“The connectivity between Ipoh to Johor Bahru is important not
just in serving the needs of these two markets; the fact that Johor
Bahru is the south gateway to Singapore and the robust development
of Iskandar Malaysia coupled with family-centered and shopping
attractions such as Legoland, Hello Kitty Town and Johor Premium
Outlet make Johor Bahru an increasingly attractive destination for
both the business and leisure travellers,” explained Ignatius Ong,
Firefly’s Chief Executive Officer.
“The extremely affordable pricing on all Firefly flights will enable
more travellers to enjoy hassle-free holiday that is easy on the wallet
and experience Firefly’s hospitality,” he added
To celebrate the launch of the new route, Firefly hosted a ribbon
cutting ceremony at this year’s MITMTravel Fair held at Dewan Leong
Wan Chin on Jalan Kampar, Ipoh. Another convenient new route is
from Penang – Krabi.
“It is our aim to make air travel a pleasant and memorable
experience for all our customers. What’s more, Firefly offers all
passengers the convenience of complimentary 20kg checked baggage
allowance and in-flight refreshment, 30 minute check-in buffer, web
and self-check-in facilities, as well as the opportunity to accrue and
redeemEnrich points – all essential conveniences for busy individuals
travelling during peak periods,” concluded Ong.
Even Better Convenience
In support of its Beyond Convenience tagline, Firefly has launched an
automated check-in service for all its domestic and Singapore flights.
The user-friendly automated check-in service adopts a “book, print
and fly” concept that will allow on-the-go passengers to complete
their check-in while they book their flights online.
“Check-in is probably one of the most tedious airport processes
we have to go through – standing in long queues, watching precious
time tick by, and all that just to get an assigned seat and a boarding
ticket. Therefore, I am delighted to announce that Firefly has started
offering an automated check-in feature in our booking system. We
are the first airline in the nation to offer this feature,” Ignatius Ong,
Firefly’s Chief Executive Officer commented. “This new automated
check-in service reinforces our commitment to customer service and
making Firefly one of the nation’s most efficient airline.”
In order to opt for automated check-in, when travellers book their
flights, they simply need to click on the check-in option and once
the booking is complete, their electronic boarding pass will be issued
immediately. This feature is available for customers who book their
tickets 14 days before their date of travel.
