pre-historic period as
evidenced from the many
paintings on the rock
walls. Take a boat ride or
go kayaking to the Tham
Phi Hua To and you will
see prehistoric paintings of men, animals,
human organs and numerous seashells.
Big human skulls were also discovered
here, thus the name “Big-headed Ghost
Cave”. Another prehistoric attraction is the
ThamChao Le, located to thewest of Laem
Sak in a bay surrounded by mountains
and picturesque islands, where similar
paintings are also found.
Krabi is home to some 130 large and
small islands in the Andaman Sea, the
most famous being Koh Phi Phi and Koh
Lanta. For those who love the sand, sea

and sun, it is close to being a paradise on
earth. Take a speedboat out to the four
islands of Koh Moh, Koh Tup, Chicken
Island and Koh Poda and you would

by towering limestone mountains with

destination as it is one of the “must-climb”
rock formations in the world. If rock
climbing is not your cup of tea, head to
the Tree Top Adventure Park and try your
hand at the rope bridges, Tarzan swings,
flying skateboards, tight rope walk and
giant zip lines.

then Krabi also has that with its Factory
Outlets, night markets and OTOP shop,
as well as other shops lining the beaches.
