it’s easy to think that when we read
about successful companies. I’ve learned
to separate the stress and just focus on
doing my best – being positive is far more
effective than being fearful.
What are theperks of your job?
Being my own boss and being able to take
an idea to fruiton in a short span of time
because I get to call the shots.
Being an entrepreneur, do you find that
you have personally grown in your career
aswell?
Of course, it’s completely different frombe-
You probably stayed in plenty of hotels as
well. What are important features for you
in a hotel?
Detailing is important - and so is lighting.
Bad lighting in a bathroom is always
detrimental to women as that’s where we
spendmost of our time getting ready! And
blackout curtains – a must for days when
I want to sleep in.
Having your own business must come
with its own set of challenges. What was
it for you?
I think the weight of responsibility you
have as a business owner can be tough.
You have to ensure that the company
succeeds and sometimes you have boom
ing in TV andmodellingwhere I worked
maybe two days a week and had little to
no stress! I earn less now, but the future
has so much more potential. More so,
there’s just so much I learned in the last
two years that I never could in my prior
career…and running a start-up – it’s the
businesses of the future.
So, what’s next for LuxeNomad?
We’re expanding our collection to have
hotels and villas all around the world!
Andwe just launched a ‘group payment’
button where you can split the cost of
a large villa between friends. I truly
believe that it’s innovation that will set
us apart.
