Holiday Seasons in Land of Smiles!
C
ome
year end, head
down to the capital city
of Bangkok for a roaring
good time. Christmas
celebrations are like no
other in the Land of
Smiles. Or if you prefer
a beach holiday – the island resorts of
Phuket and Koh Samui await you for
fun-filled festivities.
Christmas Eve hotel galas? If you’re
staying in a hotel or resort, you’ll likely
be invited to its Christmas gala dinner

resorts do a really nice job of decorating
for Christmas – they look absolutely

to be an enormous buffet, with Thai
cultural performances, flowing drinks
and a Filipino band.
But, if you have enough friends, might
we suggest renting a private house? Find a
Koh Samui resort or villa with Christmas
availability.
Spend a few more days there after the
Christmas celebrations and help us say
goodbye to 2014 and usher in the New
Year with pomp and pageantry!
Multiple New Years!
New Years are celebrated a few times in
Thailand. First to mark the end of 2014,
then the Chinese Lunar New Year in
February and later the Thai New Year in
April, complete with Songkran celebra-
tions or the water festival.
First day of the first Chinese Lunar
month, usually in February, is the Chinese
New Year. Businesses close for 3-4 days
