the 14th Malaysia International Gourmet
Festival (MIGF) annual awards ceremony
that took place at the Royale Chulan,
Kuala Lumpur. Starwood Hotels & Re-
sorts Malaysia shined once again when
nominated as best in 14 categories that
evening.

Lazada launches in-house label LZD
Fashionistas
across the region now have an exciting new portal to
get their style fix from. Online shopping mall Lazada is blazing new
trails with a refreshed fashion section, giving shoppers in Southeast
Asia access to previously-unavailable high street fashion brands from
the UK like Rock and Religion, Dead Lovers, and Neon Rose.
In addition to that, Lazada recently announced the launch of its very
own in-house label, LZD at a special hi-tea event at Tanzini Restaurant,
G-Tower Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The evening featured an intimate
showcase with Lazada Group’s Fashion Creative Director at Lazada
Group, Anne-Marie Bodal who styled a total of five different looks
capturing the style essence of modern day young women.
“Lazada has its finger on the pulse of style and fashion. Our aim is
to provide the young people of Southeast Asia with the latest designs at
accessible prices. This is in line with LZD’s offering of high street fashion
that covers all key trends of the season, from global catwalk, vintage
fashion, and Asian influences,” explained Bodal about the collection.

Choice Awards at the gala finale. Led by
Executive Sous Chef Rozaiman, the hotel
did extremely well following its success
last year.
Seasonal Tastes at The Westin Lang-
kawi Resort & Spa, the only participating
restaurant from outside Kuala Lumpur,
and Sous Chef Syahir Ismail got into the
action as Seasonal Tastes received 6 Din-
ers’ Choice Awards. Apart from that, the
team also flew back with 2 Judges’ Choice
Awards for Best Marketed Restaurant and
Most Creative Food Presentation.
Towards the end of the event, a
Special MIGF Festival Awardwas awarded
to Seasonal Tastes for Most Outstanding
Overall Festival Experience as the estab-
lishment that, in the view of the judges,
presented the most outstanding overall
festival experience to diners and guests.
