venture, Baba CanCook.

heritage, Baba Can Cook was born
through hard work and very specific
vision of local actor Alan Yun. With
a little bit of experience helping out
with his family catering business,
Yun opened the first branch of Baba
Can Cook in Jalan Mesui under the name
Limablas
two years ago. Today, Baba Can
Cook’s third branch is already getting rave
reviews for serving scrumptious authentic
Baba Nyonya cuisine at The Intermark,
Kuala Lumpur.
“I started Baba Can Cook through a
friend’s recommendation and my deep
interest in Nyonya food; thanks to my
godfather, Uncle John and hiswife, famous
television chef, Florence Chan.
“I work very closely with Uncle John
as his passion for Nyonya cuisine and
the stories behind it are inspiring,” Yun
explains to us.
With Baba Can Cook, Yun also aimed
to preserve the culture by educating the
younger generation to carry on the legacy.
He is hoping to start cooking classes in
Alan Yun
