Dress
in loose comfortable clothing to
ensure you don’t feel restricted on the
aircraft – you can always change into
something smarter just before you land
if you have an important meeting. Also,
avoid new or tight fitting shoes as your
feet are likely to swell during the flight.
Plan

you know you are prone to motion
sickness or get anxious during turbu-
lence, request a seat as close to the wing
as possible, where the ride should feel
smoother. It is also important to bring any
medications you might need with you.

Think
comfort when travelling – wear
clothes that are comfortable, pack some
snacks you like to eat and your favourite
magazine or book to read. Little things
like that will make the journey a pleasure
and will soothe any stresses or anxieties
you may have, helping you to arrive in a
positive, calm state of mind.
