Day 2
- It’s the day of prayer. The Chinese
pray. They pray for their deceased ances-
tors, they pray for their living family
members, they pray for themselves and
they pray to all their gods. It’s also believed
that this day is the birth day of all dogs.
All the loving pooches get plenty of loving,
cuddles, belly rubs and food on this day.
Days 3 & 4
- What do you do for the next
two days? Well, pay your respects to your
parents-in-law. All son and daughter
in-laws head over for some feasting and
much needed bonding on these days.
Day
5
- This day during the New Year is
called
PoWu
, and no one leaves the house.
It’s that timewhen the God ofWealth, trots
around in his gold chariot visiting all our
homes. If you’re not home to greet him,
well than, you’ll have some bad luck to
deal with.
Day6
to
10
- Visiting time is back on! It’s
also when the Chinese head to temples to
pray for wealth and health in the coming
year.
Day 7
- This day is regarded as the birth
day of all human beings, and so it’s a
time of feasting. Long noodles and raw
fish are eaten as part of the celebration
for longevity and success.
Day 9
- This day is for the Jade Emperor.
According to Chinese mythology, the Jade
Emperor is the ruler of heaven and the
creator of the universe. So, the more you
offer him, the better.
Day
13
- After all the eating, drinking and
tangerine peeling, this day is for some
relaxing. People eat rice porridge and
mustard greens to recover from the 12
days of lavish dining.
Day 14
- The last day of the celebrations is
spent getting ready for the Lantern Festival
on the next day. Lanterns are being made,
candles are being arranged and moon
cakes are being prepared.

Sheep. It’s now time for you to get inspired
and take control of your life. No more
meaningless relationships, foster great
connections that’ll help propel you into a
fruitful New Year.
