runner-up for Miss India
Malaysia (2013) -- this
year has been a historical change for her
life after Sabrina Beneett was crownedMiss
Malaysia Universe. With a 1.8m height,
Sabrina is not of any mixed parentage as
one would assume just by looking at her
name.
Your name, Sabrina Beneett – are you
mixed?
No I amnot, Beneett is the name of my fa-
ther and Sabrina simply because Christians
carry English names, andmymaternal side
of the family are all Hindus, which makes
me completely local.
Before you started modelling, had you
imaginedyourcareerwouldrevolvearound
this industry?
Never in the distant light years. I have
always seenmyself with keenness towards
law, politics, entrepreneurship and finance;
being in this industry was love stumbled
upon by accident.
What doyou loveabout Perak?
I love how it is less developed compared
to other states. We still have the neces-
sary infrastructures ... there is so much
greenery, and family ties, relationships
and quality living comes first in the state as
opposed to the more material living styles
in a city like KL.
