Priyadashini Loganathan, fondly known
as Dasha Logan, sang a lot in school,
college and was given a short stint in a
cosy restaurant in Penang.
Dasha, who is 26, now has her own
following and her aura and confidence up
on stage can definitely be felt. Although
Dasha grew up in Penang, she used to
travel to Kuala Lumpur often to visit her

late father. During one of her visits, a friend
of her brothers’, Adil Johan, had invited
Dasha to sing alongside his band AJQ in
No Black Tie and that spiralled Dasha into
the Kuala Lumpurmusic scene. Since then,
Dasha has been singing and performing
actively.
“I am inspired by many musicians like
the late Amy Winehouse, John Legend,
BrunoMars, JohnMayer and Serj Tankian
to name a few. I consider them as poets
who are able to express themselves with
amazing words,” said Dasha.

One thing which Dasha will remember

The joysof performing
About two years ago in No Black Tie,
Dasha performed with an interesting
line up of musicians such as Wan Gigi,
Adil Johan, Laura Lim, Hiran Benton and
Jimmy Tan and rated that event as her
best performance yet. “We only expected
a usual night but to be honest, the crowd
blewus awaywith their energy andwe fed
on that ,” said Dasha.
