A lot goes into running an airline, and the ground operations crew are equally crucial to
the smooth running of various essential services. One of them is Farah AngelinaWong,
the inflight service manager for Firefly.
FireFlyz
speaks to her about her role, life and
philosophical outlook on staying happy.

“My experience in the full service
airlines, budget and private jets has given
me a full gear in running the Inflight
Services Department as I can understand
very well, the needs of both passengers
and the Crew.”
Her key responsibilities as an inflight
service manager lies in the sourcing of
F&B suppliers and liaising with them to
ensure the high quality and consistency
of products procured. She also has a hand
in handling catering F&B equipment on-
board the flights, on top of menu planning
for all of Firefly’s flights. Of Malay and
Indonesian ethnicities, the ever serious
and hardworking Farah graduated from
Stamford Secretarial College, with the
necessary administrative skills that have

and the Head of Flight
Operations, Farah di-
rectly oversees and is in
charge of the Food and
Beverage (F&B) section
of Firefly’s service. You can thank Farah
for procuring all the delicious inflight
refreshments, which relies on a lot of
excellent coordination and organisation.
Although the Kuala Lumpur native
has been with Firefly for five years, she
has a wealth of experience flying under
her belt, accumulated over 20 years as a
flight attendant with various airlines. Her
expansive experience saw her flying with
the smallest of fleets towide-body aircraft.
