Do you know of any hidden gems that you would like to
share?
My favourite place to go to if I have the time is El Matador
beach in Malibu! It’s always so pretty at any time of the
day. You can get a great view of the ocean from the cliff,
just overlooking the long stretch of the beach.
For indoor or outdoor adventures, where do you like to
go andwhy?
In Los Angeles (LA), I love to go hiking. When the
weather is beautiful, hiking up to the GriffithObservatory
is always a lot of fun and when you get to the top, you
get to check out the shows they have about the stars
and planets.
Favourite state to travel to?
San Francisco fromLA, and then drive along the highway
1, the road will be along the coastline. It’s a long drive
but it is beautiful!
What are your latest updates with your music and
recording?
Right now I amworking on my third US album! I’m still
writing and recording and it’s going really well. I cant
wait to share my new sound with my fans!
Will you be coming back to live in Kuala Lumpur (KL) or
are you going to stay in theUS?
I like to think I live in both places. I get a little bit offended
when people ask me when I’m coming back to KL for
good – I feel like I never left KL! That’s my home and I
am still very attached to KL. My company Yuna Room
Records is going strong and I have a clothing store,
November Culture in the heart of Subang Jaya where I’m
from. But I’ve also made LA my second home because
I have this amazing opportunity to have a music career
there and I am actually going after my dreams so I don’t
really want to leave LA for good because I’m just starting
this amazing journey and I wish sometimes peoplewould
understand that.
What are the things you miss the most when you are
away fromhome?
My family.
Howdo you feel being able tomake a name overseas?
I’mvery blessed, I wouldn’t be here without the love and
support from my family, friends and fans.
What are your pet peeves?
People who think they know everything!
What to you has been the greatest thing you have
achieved thus far?
Overcoming the fear of driving in LA! Being able to drive
from the other side of the car and on the opposite side of
the road! Haha! Besides having two albums in America,
driving inAmerica is something I can’t believe I managed
to do! Also helping my parents buy a home – that’s my
greatest achievement.
