You’re currentlyaDJ onMix.FMfrom6amto 10am–
what’s the secret to surviving thoseearlymornings?
Very early nights! I have to make sure I’m
disciplined and make adjustments in my life to wake
up at 4.45am every morning. Exercise earlier in the
day, see friends and family earlier as well, and only
party on weekends!
You’vedone acting, hosting, DJ-ing, singingand
modelling–whichone ismost Sarimah-like?
Hosting and DJ-ing because I’m being me. I’ll be
onstage starring in “Sinbad the Musical” in April
next year and that will require a total transformation
of personality to play a magician head of the Kasbah
leader of a revolution! My singing reflects a part of
my emotions and even though I wrote my upcoming
singles and the lyrics are about my life, hosting and
DJ-ing are the most “me”.
What traits doyou look for in aman?
Perseverance and faithfulness, an ability to follow
through on his words, athleticism and calmness.
What’s thebest andworst pickup lineyou’veheard?
Best: “I think the real you is much more interesting
than the public you.”
Worst: “I have so much money, I don’t know what
to do so would you like to spend it for me?”
You’ve interviewedmany celebrities. Did anyof these
encounters get you star-struck?
My best interviews were with Alanis Morrissette
and The Backstreet Boys. Love them. Worst was
singer Jewel for her slightly racist comments and
superiority complex, oh! and an Irish boyband
who were rude, late and slightly arrogant when I
interviewed them for my TV show.
What’s inyour hand luggagewhenyou travel?
Passport, gloss and cash!
What areyour top3must-have itemswhenyou
travel?
Flight pillow, phone and water.
