Since 1980, cardiovascular disease has

What is heart disease?
It is a disorder of the blood vessels of
the heart that can lead to a heart attack.
A heart attack happens when an artery
becomes BLOCKED, preventing oxygen
and nutrients from getting to the heart.

Symptoms
• Swelling or lumps in the breast
• Pain in the nipples

Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal cancers are types of large bowel
cancer. About 80% of colorectal cancers
arise sporadically with no evidence of
genetic susceptibility.

Symptoms
• Thin stool
• Change in bowel habits
• Blood in the stool
• Abdominal pain and tenderness in the
lower abdomen
LungCancer
Lung cancer is the uncontrolled growth
of abnormal cells in tissues of the lung,
usually in the cells lining air passages.
In Malaysia, lung cancer claimed 12%
of the total number of cancer-related
deaths.
Cigarette smoking is a major risk factor
and 92% of Malaysian male lung cancer
patients have a significant smoking history

STROKE
Stroke is the THIRD largest cause of deaths
in Malaysia. Every year, an estimated
40,000 people in Malaysia suffer from a

What isStroke?
A stroke happens when blood flow to a
part of the brain is STOPPED due to a
blockage cuased by a clot in the vessel.
Once the brain tissue dies, the bodily
functions controlled by that area of brain
will not work properly.
