Mid-year Shopping Carnivals Begin!
The
annual
1MalaysiaMega Sale Carnival
and
1Malaysia Unified Sale
are back offering
big bargains, huge discounts and fun-filled promotional activities put together by
malls, retail stalls and other participating trades throughout Malaysia. Both sales are
currently on full swing and the excitement will continue until 31 Aug.
The sales events were launched by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism
and Culture Tan Sri Dr. Ong Hong Peng at a ceremony attended by foreign media
representatives under Tourism Malaysia’s Mega Fam programme.
Adding to the excitement of both sales is the #beautifulMalaysia Online Contest,
with weekly prizes to be won over 12 weeks from 15 June to 20 Sept. Besides the
contest, two pocket events will also be held to coincide with the
1Malaysia Mega
Sale Carnival 2015
, namely the Kuala Lumpur Fashion Week (KLFW) 2015 and Time
Kulture timepiece exhibition to be held at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Tourism Malaysia has also earmarked specific areas with attractive shopping
attributes and categorised them as Extended Shopping Zones. The introduction
of Shopping Malaysia Fun Maps will make it easier for shoppers to find shopping
attractions in different locations.
Estilo Wine Pairing Dinners
Calling
all wine connoisseurs, lovers of good food and
all things exciting! Estilo, the esteemed Spanish Tapas Bar,

monthly wine pairing dinners. Chef Pedro Diaz, with 12

Singapore Contemporary: New Art Fair to Kick-off the Asia Art
Calendar
Singapore Contemporary
Art Show Pte Ltd has just announced the launch of
a major new contemporary art fair to be held in Singapore from 21 Jan 2016 until 24
Jan 2016 at the Suntec Convention and Exhibition Centre. The show, to be known
as
Singapore Contemporary
, will be held at the same time as Art Stage Singapore
and a week of gallery presentations and public projects. The event showcases the
missing and much desired mid-tier art market with works ranging from S$10,000 to
S$100,000 and upwards.
Singapore Contemporary
will focus exclusively on quality contemporary artwork
and installations from some of the world’s most interesting and promising artists.
The inaugural edition of
Singapore Contemporary
will also feature two special art
projects namely
Artist Dialogues
and
China Encounters
.
Together with the official launch of

, the organiser also
announced that all art galleries in Singapore can now apply to feature their works
