What Are You
Doing With
Your iPhone?
Y
ou
have upgraded
your iPhone to the
new iPhone 6 but you
keep wondering,“what
else can I do with my
iPhone?”. Well with
iPhone, the sky is pretty
much the limit. This uber-modern piece
of technology allows you to do more
than just answering calls and checking
your Facebook. You just have to know
what you need and once you have that
all figured out, go to the “Apps” section
on your iTunes store. The chances are
they have several options for whatever it
is that you are looking for.
Here are some some of the top, and
more importantly, free iPhone appli-
cations, useful for our modern, busy
lifestyles.
AirDrop
AirDrop is not exactly an app but it is a
service that comes with iOS 7 update. It
enables the transfer of documents among
supported Apple devices without using
mail or a mass storage device. It uses
Bluetooth Low Energy to broadcast,
discover, and negotiate connections and
point-to-point Wifi to transfer informa-
tion. With AirDrop it is now easier to
transfer and share photos, videos, voice
memos, contacts, Passbook passes and
even map location.
Adobe Photoshop Express
This simple version of Photoshop is
perfect for iPhone, with quick edit fea-
tures whenever you need to make a few
changes to your photos before uploading
them to your Facebook or Twitter. There’s
also a photo and video library to save
your work online, which won’t fill your
storage space. All you have to do is
register for a photoshop.com account and
you are good to go. You can crop, rotate,
change photos to black and white and
add effects and borders as well.
My PDFs
My PDFs is a great no fuss PDF file
reader which allows you to read your
PDF documents on the go and yes,
that includes PDF format e-book as
well. Flick through pages with a single
tap, zoom in and out, bookmark after
you finish reading. One great function
of it is that you can transfer PDF files
directly from your PC via iTunes.
Pixlr-o-matic
Besides Instagram. Pixlr-o-matic should
be the only camera app that you need
on your iPhone. Pixlr-o-matic has a lot
of great filters that will give your photos
an artistic, toy camera feel similar to
Instagram. You can also choose to add
even more to the photo with an assort-
ment of lighting accents and framing
options. Snap a photo within the app or
import a photo from your camera roll to
start editing.
eBuddy Messenger
With eBuddy Messenger you can stay
in touch with your friends all over the
world without having separate messenger
applications installed or running on your
iPhone. Just log in to eBuddy and you can
start IM-ing your AIM, MSN / Windows
Live Messenger, Yahoo, Facebook Chat,
GTalk, MySpace, Hyves and ICQ friends
all in one list.
Minimalist To Do List
A perfect application for all of you on
the go out there. With so many things to
do in one day, we could use a little help
in making sure that we have things in
order and ensuring we don’t miss a single
task that needs to be completed for any
particular day. Out of all other “To Do
List” applications, this one is definitely
the simplest and the easiest to use with
one list that you can quickly add, remove
and list out tasks in order of importance.
Just mark an item as “Completed” when
you are done with it.
