GLC Open Day 2015
was organized by Khazanah
Nasional from Aug 7 to 9
2015 at the Kuala Lumpur
Convention Centre.
Themed
Graduat ing
to a Higher Class: Nation Building,
ouching Lives,
the GLC Open Day 2015
showcased how Government-linked
Investment Companies (GLICs) and
Government-linked Companies (GLCs)
have progressed and contributed towards
the development of the country and
impacted the lives of Malaysians.
Five GLICs and 17 GLCs, including
Malaysia Airlines and its subsidiaries
Firefly, MasWings and MasKargo at-
tracted a crowd of about 60,000 people.
The event also featured five clusters
which highlighted the 10-year journey
and the corresponding achievements of
the GLCT Programme, as well as provide
a glimpse of GLCs’ offerings in the future.
Other activities planned throughout the
three-day event were forums, competi-
tions, children’s activities, and lucky
draws designed to maximise public
participation.
In
conjunction with the unveiling of
the new livery featuring
Firefly Travel
Protection,
an online photography con-
test called “Spot. Snap and Win” was
organised. Shutterbugs were required
to spot the aircraft, snap a photo of it
and then upload it online with their best
caption. A total of ten (1) ATR72-600
aircraft models worth a total of RM1,000
were up for grabs. The contest received
great response; and these are some of the
entries received.
