I was told that the owner rares his own
talapias
and grows his own vegetables.
While having the villa’s famous nasi lemak
and rendang the next morning, I met the
owner, Felix Tee. He stopped by for a chat
and I found out that he puts in a lot of
time in researching the best ways to ward
away the mosquitoes and insects, the pool
cleanliness system, pesticide-free food and
other eco-friendly initiatives at the villa.
Activities
There are also various other activities
that one can enjoy. From spa services,
golf,canopywalks, whitewater rafting and
jungle trekking to helicopter canopy rides
and other activities, all can be arranged by
the friendly staff at Casabrina.
The inside
There was a living room complete with a
daybed, cowhide rug with throw pillows
on top of it and a three-door cupboard.
The room also comes with a very com-
fortable king size bed, television set,
air-conditioning as well as a bladeless
tower fan. The villa had two verandah
areas, one featuring a daybed for you to
enjoy the view and be one with nature
while the other verandah was located just
next to the swimming pool. The bathroom
has his and hers sink units, a bathtub
which overlooks the jungle view as well
as a rain shower.
Coming soon
Plans are afoot to expand the types of
accommodation at Casabrina to cater
to a wider nature loving crowd. It will
include more villas, honeymoon suites
and family friendly suites. Casabrina is
also getting with the trend by having a
designated glamping area. It currently
caters to companies and schools whowant
to conduct team building activities and
retreats at their container hotels.
Let’s eat
The in-villa international fine dining
experience was truly amazing. There are
no menus, the chef whips up something
tantalising for your taste buds. Dinner was
marvellous, we had fresh
talapia
steamed
with ginger and soya sauce alongwith two
types of vegetables, prawns and dessert.
