The
fish tikka
is tender, succulent pieces of Dory, marinated in spices and yogurt
and gently cooked on hot coals. Dipped in yogurt and mint sauce, it just melts in
the mouth.
Coconut fish curry
is a less spicy dish with wonderful flavours. The
vegetarian dishes here are amazing tasty as well. The
okra and eggplant curry
were
cooked perfectly and is one of those dishes that you would want more of. As for
the
palak paneer,
the thick rich sauce is amazingly flavourful. It is made in-house
using the using fresh buffalo milk.
Sweet endings
The dessert I had was something unique that I had never tasted, seen or heard
of before, called
kesar kufli.
Served in a cute miniature clay pot, this dessert is
decadent. A saffron infused Indian ice cream, there are crunchy almond pieces at
the bottom. At the bottom of the clay pot, there are pieces of almond to chew on.
A perfect combination with this rich, creamy ice cream.
For those who are interested to have after dinner drinks, there is a bar above the
restaurant where you can also play darts and pool.

No visit to a Paksitani restaurant is
complete without ordering
the biryani
rice. Biryani
is a unique rice dish that
comes with either a mutton or chicken
base. The meat is marinated in spices,
saffron and yoghurt for a couple of hours.
Then, it is layered with soaked rice and
cooked over low heat until the flavour of
the meat and spices infuse the rice. The
tender meat just melts in your mouth as
you savour it together with the flavourful
rice. The
biryani
is accompanied with
curry and some
raita. Raita
is a mixture
of fresh cucumbers, onions and yoghurt.
Other dishes that are on the must-
try list would be dishes such as the
fish tikka, coconut fish curry, okra
and
eggplant curry, palak paneer, Farmhouse
pizza, mushroom bruschetta
and the
Cafe
de Swiss.
