version is no slouch, it’s these minute
improvements to feel and performance
that really helps set a sportier driving tone.
If you tot up all the bits you get with the
Lexus NX 200T F Sport, it’s frankly a little
ridiculous to end up paying RM75,000
more for them but they do make a big
difference to the way the car looks, feels
and performs. I suppose if you’re going
to take the plunge and you have the
funds, then you might as well opt for the
best version available. I’m not even 35
anymore and I know I would.
The claimed performance figures are
0-100km/h in 7.1 seconds with top speed
limited to 200km/h. Power is directed
to the AWD system via a six-speed auto
with AI shift, and while rivals have seven,
eight and now nine ratios to choose from,
you won’t feel short changed by the lack
of gears.
More importantly, the new adaptive
suspension and the slightly more aggres-
sive engine mapping of Sport+mode
reallymake a difference to the character of
this SUV. The handling is now noticeably
tauter with better resistance to roll when
cornering and it has more direct steering
