Royal Cup World Muay Thai
Championship

The Royal Cup World Muay Thai
Championship is formally known as The
Royal Kedah Muay Thai Challenge. It has
been running for seven consecutive years
and it is the longest running Muay Thai
tournament in Malaysia. The tournament
currently has a global following from
more than 20 countries and has attracted
a viewing audience of 35,000 through
live streaming and an average of 4,000
attendees per event. This event is exclusive
to South East Asia and is organised in
Malaysia.
Penang Island Jazz Festival 2015

Malaysia’s longest running annual jazz
festival, the Penang Island Jazz Festival
will be celebrating its 12
th
edition this
year. Among some of this year’s main
stage performers on the Jazz By The
Beach segment this time around are the
Makiko Hirabayashi Trio, CaboCubaJazz,
Tobias Preisig Quartet, Andreya Triana
and The Penang Philharmonic Big Band.
There will also be workshops conducted
by participating artists, The Island Music
Forums with the theme of Going Beyond,
a jazz gallery, The Creative Malaysia
Fringe programme that focuses on local
Malaysian acts, the unique Sunrise @
Tropical Spice Garden, which starts at
7.00am on Saturday morning, as well as
the After Hours Jazz Jam held after the
main stage performances that go on till
the wee hours of the morning.

The FIM Asia Supermoto Championship 2015

The FIM Asia Supermoto Championship 2015 is one of Asia’s premier motorsports
races that began its first round in Malaysia in June. Supermoto racing combines
exciting elements of motocross, dirt track and road racing into one dynamic discipline.
It features jumps and high-speed straights with both dirt and asphalt surfaces. This
year, the championship will feature up to 18 top Asian Supermoto riders mainly from
Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Taiwan, Indonesia and Malaysia. There will be two races
held on each day consisting of practice, qualifying and finals for the novice and expert
category. Points collected on both days will be tabulated as championship points. On
completion, the rider with themost points will be declared the ‘2015 FIMAsia Supermoto
Champion’ and the country represented will be awarded the ‘2015 FIMAsia Supermoto
Champion Country’.
