Let’s get physical
From hiking the ever tough
Bukit Tabur
to day or night jungle trekking, riding an
ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) to camping in
the jungle in
Kampung Kemensah
, there
are so many things to enjoy for lovers of
nature and adventure. Located next to the
National Zoo,
Kampung Kemensah
is for
the outdoor junkie. If you fancy spending
the night, there are chalets available for
rent. These chalets are situated in the
forest, next to the river.
Alternatively, one could head to the
ATV park and rent one of these thrilling
vehicles. Just be careful at first as the
ground does get a bit uneven at places.
For those who would just prefer a relax-
ing afternoon, there is the Kemensah
Waterfall. This a great place to cool down
on a hot afternoon.
The Titiwangsa Recreational Park is
located just south of Setapak. This is a
recreational park for the public which
feature a few huge lakes in the middle
of the park. There are many facilities at
the park which include jogging tracks,
aqua biking, canoeing and other outdoor
activities. There are two unique facilities
also available, which are the horse riding
facility and the radio control car racing
track. Food and drinks are sold around
the edge of the lake for visitors to buy
while enjoying the scenic view. In the
mornings, the Titiwangsa Lake Gardens is
full of joggers as it is a good place to run
and train for competitive races.
The next time you are stuck for a place
to go to, why not wander around Setapak.
You may be pleasantly surprised at what
