Not many people know about Indulgence
Restaurant in Ipoh. This is Xandria’s favourite
western fine-dining place in the whole country.
It is housed in a gorgeous colonial mansion
and the owner and chef, Chef Julie Song, is
a culinary genius with several awards under
her belt. The food is exquisite and everything
on the menu is unique as they are all Chef
Julie’s creations.
She does most of her shopping online but
she still goes to Bukit Bintang to get her fix
of luxury brands and high street fashion at
Pavilion Kuala Lumpur as well as Sungei Wang
Plaza for hair products.
When Xandria travels, she loves staying
in boutique hotels. She has so much fun
researching the quirky, creative and cozy ones,
where they blend the most enhancing decors
with the warmest hospitality. In Malaysia, her
favourite boutique hotel is M Boutique Hotel
in Ipoh. It is whimsical and impeccable.
ADVENTURE
An adventurous soul, she enjoys going on road trips because
it has three elements that she loves; great company, good
food and adventure. She always likes the idea of driving
from Kuala Lumpur to Melaka and further down to Johor
Bahru or Singapore. The north of the country means driving
through the smaller towns of Perak whilst heading to Ipoh
and Penang. Xandria has also driven to the east coast,
stopping by Kuantan, Kelantan and Terengganu. She loves
Ipoh for the natural beauty of the limestone hills and, of
course, the food. Xandria believes road trips are the best way
to experience the different cultures and food of Malaysia.
One of her favourite activities is waterfall abseiling at
Gopeng, Perak. She loves the outdoors and finds this activity
both exhilarating and challenging. She cites Pangkor island
as another place that she cares for. The serenity and beauty
of the island help her relax and unwind.
