Howmuch has your previous experience helped you
in your current role?
It has prepared me in taking on newer and greater
challenges and responsibilities as well as learning a
great deal about handling customers and staff.
What is a typical day for a Associate, Standards &
Procedure like you?
Once I get to the office, I will check all my emails
and reports and update my team and my boss. I also
supervise MH (Malaysian Airlines) Ticketing staff at
Subang airport.
What do you like themost about your job?
There are a lot of factors that I like about my job. One
is being able to multi-task, which allows me to work
on a variety of tasks concurrently. It enables me to use
a variety of skills, which prevents me from becoming
bored. This job also allows me to learn and to be in
the know about everything that is happening within
the company.
What is themost challenging part of your job?
Sometimes it is hard to prepare a manual which
everyone can understand. Another challenging aspect
of this job is time management. I need to complete all
the tasks within the time frame given.
Howdo youmanage to achieve awork -
life balance?
After work, I will try to schedule my time
with my family and friends. I love listen-
ing to music, and when it’s the football
season, I unwind in front of the TV.
If youwere not the Associate, Standards
&Procedure for Firefly, what would you
probably be?
I would probably become an Aircraft
Technician.
Do you have any partingwords of
wisdom to share for thosewhowish to
work in your industry?
The best career or job is the one in which
you are using the skills you enjoy but not
every job needs to address all of your
passions. Use every job as an opportunity
to learn something new and keep an
open mind.
Have you travelled to any Firefly
destinations? Do sharewith us one of
your memorable travel experience either
with friends or family.
I went on a duty travel with my working
colleagues to Krabi. It was just amazing
to relax and enjoy fabulous food and the
view from the island.
