- Ms. LYJ, an AIG Malaysia Insured, slipped and fell at a jetty while on holiday in Koh Samui, Thailand. She sustained a fracture on the
fifth metatarsal bone on her right foot. A call was made to AIG Travel for ground ambulance arrangements.
AIG Travel’s medical team immediately established contact with the treating doctor at the local hospital, and together, they reviewed Ms. LYJ’s
medical condition and treatment. A guarantee letter was issued to the hospital for Ms. LYJ’s medical expenses as the team continued to monitor
her progress and treatment.
Upon receiving the fit-to-fly sign-off, AIG Travel arranged for Ms. LYJ’s discharge and return to her home country via a commercial airline on
business class with wheel chair assistance.
