Dec 10, 2015, the ballroom of Hyatt Saujana,
Subang was filled with Bollywood music and dances as
employees of Firefly celebrated the airline’s 2015 Annual
Dinner with an Indian theme. Everyone was donning
colourful clothes; women in their traditional saris and
men in their long coats and trousers called sherwanis.
CEO Ignatius Ong officiated the event with an
energetic speech commenting that this year moved very
fast and it has been a year where Firefly did face various
trials and tribulations due to the implementation of GST
and the longest period of haze in Malaysian history.
He thanked all relevant departments which worked
around the clock to manage the situation and ensure
that passengers’ safety was the top most priority.
As employees were indulging themselves in mouth-
watering delicacies, they were entertained by renditions
of popular English, Malay, Tamil and Chinese songs
performed by the seven-piece band consisting of Firefly
staff. Part of the night’s festivities also included a talent
competition which showcased singing performances,
cultural and modern dances as well as stand-up comedy.
Scintillate was named the winner of the night with a
captivating dance performance. The group of five cabin
crews wowed the crowd when a medley of the most
famous Bollywood songs filled the air.
This evening could not have been possible without
the lucky draw prizes sponsors. All of us at Firefly would
like to thank each and every one from the bottom of
our heart.
