Sungai Chiling
Sungai Chiling is a waterfall and fish
sanctuary which is located at the foot-
hills of Fraser’s Hill. Managed by the
state fishery department, the river was
gazetted as a nature park and fish sanc-
tuary to preserve a local species of fish,
the mahseer. The beautiful waterfalls
here are actually comprised of three
separate vertical waterfalls.
Kampung Kuantan
This small village is located about 7km from the
town of Kuala Selangor and is most famous for the
firefly park. A boat ride will take you along the
banks of the river where you can see thousands
of little flashing lights. As their flashing becomes
synchronised, you will be amazed to see entire trees
flashing along the river banks.
Sunway Lagoon Theme Park
This theme park is a multi-award winner
which has five different theme parks
under one roof. There are more than
80 rides and attractions to choose from.
The choices range from the Water
Park, Amusement Park, Wildlife Park,
Extreme Park and Scream Park. This is
also the place to experience the world’s
largest man-made sandy surf beach,
world’s longest pedestrian suspension
bridge, Asia’s highest slingshot ride,
Malaysia’s first interactive zoo and one
of Asia’s longest flying fox trails.
Other activities that can be done here
include paintballing, mountain biking,
wall climbing, bungee jumping and All
Terrain Vehicle (ATV) rides.
The charms of Selangor are plenty
and it is highly advisable to take some
time out to enjoy what this marvelous
state has to offer.
