The Locker & Loft
In order to find The Locker & Loft, you have to you have to
first make your way to the first floor of the building that it
is located in at Damansara Kim. Without any signboard,
your only guide is the rusty metal door made out of old
lockers that leads you into a rough-around-the edges
and stripped back space with a whole lot of character.
The Locker & Loft offers localised cocktails and dining
experience complimented by its friendly crew and a
playlist that consists of funk, soul and house music. It
is the place to be for an intimate night out or even after
a long day at work when your usual glass of beer just
will not do the trick.
Drink Up!
Food from the bar-restaurant menu features a fusion of
local and international recipes. From the
Crispy-Breaded
Catfish Fingers with Creole-style Plantain Chips
and
Ginger Torch Tartare
to
Beef Rendang Mantou with
Pickled Vegetables
, each dish is prepared fresh and served
oriental style. Same goes with the drinks, which have all
received local infusions. For instance, the
Kelapa Rock
is
made with fresh coconut water and Peppar - a mixture of
charred red pepper, along with what the menu describes
as ‘a liquid surprise’.
The Locker & Loft might not be that easy to find but
once you get there, it will all be worth it. The space, the
drinks and delicious food will make you feel like you
are in an exclusive club accessible only by those who
own the key.
