Homemade
sugar scrub is incrediblymoisturising and exfoliating to the skin.
The best part is that you canmake your own personalised version
at home based on your skin type and preferred scent. It can be
used on the face, body and feet for smooth silky skin. You can
add different types of ingredients like cinnamon, Vitamin E oil,
lavender, rosemary, dried fruits and vanilla to your sugar scrubs.
Believe it or not, it takes under tenminutes tomake!
Store bought body
scrubs cost a bomb
mainly due to the
fancy packaging
and well known
international brand.
A good body scrub
is nothing more than
just the right mix of
a few ingredients
together in the right
proportions.
Fireflyz
shares how to make
your own body scrub
that is cheap and
simple to do.

WhatYouNeed
*
3 parts coarse sugar (white or brown sugar- preferably organic)
*
1 part olive oil (coconut oil works great too)
*
15-20 drops of your favourite essential oil or oil blend
*
Clean glass jar
Directions
1. Put the course sugar in a bowl and add liquid slowly, stirring as you go. You
want a consistency that you can scoopwith your hand so do not let the
texture get too runny.
2. Add 15 to 20 drops of essential oil of your choice andmix again.
3. Store in a container with tight fitting lid. Your sugar scrub should last a
couplemonths in an airtight jar. If you keep it clean and free of water, it can
last up to 12months.
4. Use your homemade sugar scrub to get rid of dead skin andmoisturise. Just
scoop out a generous amount in the shower andmassage into your skin in
areas like knees, elbows and bottoms of feet.
