Start Selling
Do
a little spring cleaning and put aside
clothes, books and other knick-knacks that
you don’t want anymore. There are plenty
of car-boot sales or pre-loved bazaars
where you can rent a space to sell off your
items and make some money.
Drink Up
Drinking
water is definitely beneficial
for health, but it is also a good way to
save money. Sodas, juices and especially
alcohol can hike up grocery and restaurant
bills. Switching to water most of the time
can save a chunk of your money.
At Work
Save
on gas and car maintenance by
carpooling to work, or by utilizing
public transport. If your workplace is
near where you live, consider walking
or riding a bike. Packing your own food
for work also helps you save on lunch
money, plus it is a healthier choice as
well.
Stay Healthy
Cut
down on trips to the doctor by getting
enough sleep, eating right, exercising,
taking the right supplements andwhatever
it takes to prevent yourself from falling
sick. By taking care of your health, you
can help prevent expensive medical bills
down the road.
Give It Up!
Quit
smoking and cut down on alcohol
as they are not only a detriment to your
health, but a huge money waster as well.
Studies have found that an average smoker
spends thousands on cigarettes every year.
Do It Yourself
Make
full use of ingredients within your
own kitchen to make your own spa-like
goodies. Search online for natural beauty
recipes using easy-to-make ingredients
such as oats, apples, bananas and cucum-
ber. You’ll save a lot by not having to pay
for pricey beauty products like facemasks,
body scrubs, and hair masks.
Get Creative
Come
up with an interesting and at-
tainable way to save money so that you
won’t lose focus. Getting yourself to put
aside large amounts of money from your
paycheck each month may not be easy or
even doable, so plan out an easier way to
save. Start with a dollar on the first week
of the year, followed by two dollars on the
second week, and increase the amount
each week. By the end of the year, you
would be surprised by how much money
you have managed to save. (PS: We know
it’s already May, but it’s never too late to
start saving for a rainy day)
It’s A Deal
Troll
exclusive deal sites such as Grou-
pon where you’ll be able to find offers
from haircuts to weekend getaways. If
some of the deals seem too good to be
true, do a little research and find reviews of
specific salons, restaurants or even hotels
before purchasing in order to prevent deals
from hell.
