The royal treatment that I received was
a memorable one and I would certainly
keep LUXSA Spa onmy shortlist of spas to
revisit whenever I’m in Koh Samui.

and knowledgeable staff informedme that
I was best suited with ‘Water’ and that the
products used for the treatment are made
from flowers that are grown in the hotel’s
very own organic garden and other natural
ingredients.
I was given a cup of cold herbal tea
and a refreshing cold towel before being
led to my double treatment room, which
was sublimely scented with essential oil
on an oil burner. The three-storey LUXSA
Spa has six double treatment suites that
come with an integral steam and shower
room and a large circular bathtub – ideal
for sharing a special spa experience with
a loved one.
The treatment itself began with a floral
footbath and foot scrub, followed by the
signature LUXSA massage, which aims to
balance the body’s elements, stimulate
metabolism, relieve mental and physical
fatigue, reduce stress and balance the
nervous system. My therapist was skilled
and experienced, and I could feel my entire
body enter a state of ultimate relaxation
with each stroke, which consisted of a
combination of Thai and other massage
styles with the right amount of pressure
applied.
The therapist was always highly atten-
tive to how I was doing and would ask if
the pressure was strong enough and if
the room temperature, music and lighting
were at a suitable level. One thoughtful
touchwas that the ‘Water’ massage oil was
kept warm so it felt very soothing when
applied to the body. The refreshing scent
of the oil, which consists of Lavender and
Geraniumwith Almond Oil, Safflower Oil
and Benzoil, enveloped my senses.
The whole experience was perfectly
concluded by a soothing Reiki healing
session. I certainly felt like a new person
after the treatment andwould honestly say
that it was one of the best massages I have
ever experienced. I felt as though I had
naturally regained an internal balance of
body andmind, with a sense of well-being,
energy and flexibility that’s fully restored.
