Not long after, a massage therapist, who
introduced herself as Flora, led me to the
massage room for a 45-minute massage
using the spa’s signature blend of oil,
frankincense, myrrh and sandalwood.
The massage was heavenly – an icing on
the cake after the
hammam
and
grom-
mage.
Flora began with my legs, where she
gentlymassaged themwith oil to improve
blood circulationwhilemy recently exfoli-
ated skin absorbed the nourishing oil like
a sponge. I fell under a spell of ultimate
relaxation as she gavemy limbs and back
long kneading strokes and worked on
loosening my tensed muscles with deep
pressure applied on specific points while
I had a cooling eye mask on. When my
two hours was up, I wistfully left the spa
wishing that I had more time – it really
was that good! It was such a stimulating
and vitalizing experience that I made up
my mind to pay more frequent visits in
future.
mixed with all natural herbs and Argan
oil – the much-raved about oil due to its
plethora of benefits.
Then it was back to another round of
washing, whereNadia gavemy hair a good
wash with geranium shampoo. This was
followed with a mint body wash, which
left me feeling fresh and clean. You don’t
get more indulgent than having a person
bathing you from top to toe. After drying
off, I was amazed to see how the treatment
had left my skin baby-soft and glowing.
Even while writing this review a few days
post-treatment, my skin still remains as
soft and supple.
Once the bath was over, I was lead to
another beautiful room to sit back and
relax for a few minutes while sipping on
sweet Moroccan tea and enjoying the
most scrumptious
baklava
I’ve ever had.

every inch of my body.
Don’t let this deter you from trying this
treatment – there is absolutely no pain
involved and you will feel much cleaner,
fresher and lighter afterwards. It should be
warned, however, that certain parts of your
bodywill be exposed during this treatment,
so this would be a great opportunity (and
challenge!) to get rid of shyness and
proudly flaunt your blessings. I did not
have to worry about hygiene as well, as
Nadia cut up the mitt in front of me after
the scrub to reassure me that each mitt is
only used once per treatment.
After the scrub, a layer of Moorish Body
Polish was applied to my squeaky clean
skin for further nourishment. The body
polish consists of Moroccan volcanic clay,
known as
rhassoul
clay, and is renowned
for its detoxifying and purifying properties,
