Welcome on-board Firefly!
I’m pleased to announce
two new additions to the Fire-
fly network – from Penang to
Krabi, Thailand and fromJohor
Bahru to Ipoh, Perak.
Flights from Johor Bahru to Ipoh, the capital
city of Perak are due to start on September 15
this year with four return services per week.
Ipoh is the fourth largest city in Malaysia with
a population of over 700,000. The quaint little
town is located 200km north of Kuala Lumpur and it is famous for its
amazing local cuisine.
Our latest destination, Krabi, is a three times weekly service from our
home base of Penang, starting September 16, 2014. This is our fourth venture
into Thailand, directly and indirectly supporting local communities by
creating job opportunities for the locals. Krabi is famous for its picturesque
landscapes, beautiful beaches, stunning waterfalls, ravishing underwater
and a vast variety of delicious authentic Thai food. It is also home to several
National Parks with over 130 surrounding islands such as Koh Phi Phi and
Koh Lanta, which are popular destinations in the southern coast of Thailand.
Elsewhere, we have been busy mounting special promotions and extra
flights to existing destinations for the month of Ramadhan to give you an
even greater choice and convenience so that you can “balik kampung” to
break fast and celebrate Hari Rayawith your loved ones. Check our website
often for great offers and flight schedules.
Furthering our efforts to give you access to greater choice of destinations,
I’m pleased to announce that our partnership with Citilink, an Indonesian
Low Cost Carrier (LCC), is expanding greatly. Citilink, an LCC airline of
Garuda Indonesia Group, is one of Indonesia’s fastest growing airlines. Our
partnership will allow Firefly and Citilink passengers to book flights from
Malaysian cities for travels to and from Indonesia.
Before I sign off, I would like to wish all our Muslim guests and loved
ones Eid Mubarak, on behalf of Firefly’s Management and staff.
