Once the scrub treatment was done,
we showered to rid the scrub, as well
as the dead skin cells off our bodies. I
came out from the shower feeling like a
brand new person – my skin felt so much
smoother … as if it has been revived.
Feeling refreshed from the bath, it
was time to hit the bed once again. This
time, it’s for our champagne massage.
My therapist worked her magical fingers
all over my body, starting from my feet,
slowly moving up to my shoulders before
finishing with my head. Many had asked
me how the massage went, but I hit the
snooze button just as she was starting on
one side of my leg. That was how relaxing
the massage was.
Despite sleeping throughout the mas-
sage – waking up only to turn from
one side to another – I woke up feeling
reenergised after the massage was done.
My shoulders that were overstressed from
too much hovering over the computer
felt so much lighter and I felt like I was
walking on clouds as I got off the bed –
and so did he!
Before leaving the Away Spa, we
were served with freshly cut fruits and
a glass of juice. The longer we sat at the
lounge, the more hesitant we were about
leaving the place. And since the both of us
enjoyed out treatment so much, we made
our way back to the spa and tried their
much-talked-about Thaimazcal treatment
before we left the island – which I must
say is equally as good as our Bubble of
Love package.
put us in utter relaxation, and sip after sip
of the champagne just served to enhance
the feeling. By the end of the 30-minute
bath, we were hesitant to get out of the
tub, but the mention of a champagne
scrub and a champagne massage after,
managed to get us out of it.
We then made our way into the room
for our scrub treatment that smelled
oh-so-delicious. My therapist showed
an impressive level of expertise as she
scrubbed my body in a strong, yet gentle
motion. I’m usually the kind of person
who avoids scrub treatments due to the
pain, but my therapist at the Away Spa
had somehow managed to convince me

to splurge a little bit and went with the
Bubble of Love spa package. Sounds good
you say? Wait till you read what’s in it!
While we were getting ready to in-
dulge in the ultra-luxurious 120-minute
spa treatment, our therapist prepared
the sparkling bath in an outdoor tub
overlooking the ocean. As we stepped
out to take a dip in the hot champagne
bath filled with rose petals, our therapists
popped a bottle of Veuve Clicquot for us
to enjoy throughout the bath.
With a glass of champagne in hand,
we slowly dipped into the tub for an
intimate bath, a la reality TV. The feeling
of having total warmth against our skin
