As a local friend of mine spoke highly
of the Away Spa, my partner and I decided
to give it a go.
Arriving at the resort’s lobby, we made
our way down the steps that led us to the
spa complex. It was a long walk down,
accompanied by a breath-taking view of
the ocean. Quite a workout I would say.
But if you’re not up for a walk, there’s
always the resort’s buggy to chauffer
you down to the spa’s reception where a
friendly staff is always ready to attend to
your pampering needs.
Stepping through the huge wood-
framed door into the reception area that
was furnished with modernised wooden
floor and walls somewhat gave us the
feeling of Zen. We were then led to the
waiting lounge where welcome drinks
and cold towels await.
Going through the spa menu while
sipping on a glass of tangy delight, we
knewwe were in for a treat as the menu at
Away Spa offered nothing less than a posh
experience. After what almost seemed
like a life-changing decision, we decided
escape that features signature treatments
including massages, facial and body treat-
ments, manicures and pedicures, as well
as a range of treatments incorporating
local Thai influences – be it ingredients
or massage techniques – in a cool and
playful way.
A masterpiece of modern design, the
Away Spa comprises 576sqm of indoor
and outdoor spa treatment areas that
allow for total privacy and complete
renewal, as well as a Tonic bar and the
first Thaimazcal treatment facility. The
