only use the best grade of air-flown

a handcrafted distilled spirit, which goes
excellently with the
yakitori

Koryori Enoshima
Koryori
Enoshima gives off a fresh,
clean, beach-side vibe despite being
hidden in an enclave in Wisma Cosway,
a relatively unheard of spot for good
food, let alone to attract those with more
discerning palates. Nevertheless, with
its almost cult-like following of native
Japanese businessmen, it can tend to get
very packed on weekday nights, appear-
ing as a dimly-lit, cosy outfit perfect for a
chill-out spot with colleagues or friends.
Originally housing the Italian-Japanese
fusion restaurant, Ozeki Italian, they
have rebranded, renamed and refurbished
the outlet in a seeming bid to mellow its
menu down to appeal to a wider, or in
this case, more targeted crowd who prefer
the traditional done well or with a twist
of Italian.
Some parts of the menu hint of carry-
overs from their strongly Italian-Japanese
predecessor; you can see the marriage
of a subtle infusion of hearty Italian
cuisine with the crisp, healthy freshness
of Japanese-centric ingredients. Two
examples are the
Mentaiko
Spaghetti with
seasoned cod roe and
Shirasu
Pizza with
sardines and spring onion – both neither
overdone nor overpowering and with the
lightness of traditional Japanese flavours
complemented with the wheatiness of
Italian flour staples. They still largely stick

Upon entry, however, one finds oneself
greeted by strong, bold lines and colours
