List It Down
We
often tend to dwell on the negative, thinking of the hard
week that is coming ahead and of all the challenging, tiring tasks
that is at hand. For a change, make a list of things that you are
excited about in the coming workweek instead, whether it be
an exciting project or a potential meeting with a client – just to
put yourself in a positive mood.
Give It A Rest
Make
your weekends strictly “no-work”. Try to avoid checking
your emails or messages during the weekend and let yourself
relax. When you leave the office on Friday, leave your office
problems there and focus on enjoying your time off. Sometimes,
going back towork onMonday feels especially frustrating because
you let it creep into your off-time, so it never feels like you had
a weekend at all.
Have Fun!
Take
time to recognise and appreciate the things that you enjoy
about your work. Think back on why you decided to take on this
job and list down the things you like about it and the milestones
that you have achieved. It would be even better if you could
set career goals so you can always stay motivated, positive and
passionate about work.

Reflections
Do you always dread the start of your workweek? Here are sixways
to get rid of theMonday Blues.
What’s the problem?
The
Monday Blues could be a significant sign that you are
unhappy at work, therefore you need to get to the root of the
problem, or simply move on and find another job that you will
be more excited and passionate about. If you only suffer the
occasional bout of mildMonday Blues, then you can do things to
successfully cheer yourself up on an otherwise dreary Monday.
Precious Sleep
It
will do you a lot of good to go to bed earlier on Sunday
night and be sure to get enough sleep so that you wake up
feeling well rested. If you only get only a couple of hours of
sleep, it is unlikely that you’re going to feel good when the
alarm goes off on a Monday morning. It would also help to
rise earlier on Monday and allow yourself to take some time
to enjoy a healthy breakfast and a quick workout so you feel
energised and ready to face your day.
Be Prepared
Most
people dreadMondays when they know that there is work
piled up from the previous week, and after a relaxing weekend, it
canbe challenging to jumpback into themomentumagain. Tohelp
combat this anxiety, be sure to finish the harder tasks on Friday
and keep your workload and schedule light and easy onMondays.
