12, Mustaqim has liver cancer. So when Firefly got to know
about his heartfelt dream to visit Singapore from the Make-a-wish
foundation, we stepped in to sponsor flight tickets for Mustaqim, his
three siblings and parents to help him fulfil his dream.
Following a very warm send-off by the Firefly staff at Subang
Skypark, Mustaqim soared into an exciting and unforgettable 4-day
adventure in Singapore. With the visit to Universal Studios Singapore
in mind, he was thrilled as he was able to experience exhilarating
roller coaster rides and got the opportunity to meet his favourite TV
characters. Part of his adventures in Singapore included seeing a rare
pink dolphin at the Underwater World on Sentosa Island as well as
spending a night watching the nocturnal animals in the Night Safari
at the Singapore Zoo.
Mustaqim and his family were warmly hosted by the Sentosa
Movenpick Heritage Hotel which added richly to their experience.
Mustaqim returned home fully inspired
and energised to face the challenges ahead
– he and his family were truly grateful for
the opportunities given.
