What aresomeof themilestones thatyou
have achieved so farwithKFB?
I started KFB for fun even though deep
inside I knew I could turn this into some-
thing more. I have always been realistic
and I am fully aware of how this could
actually go wrong but after less than just
two years, KFB now pays for not only my
shoes but alsomy house and car! (laughs)
Is there any particular cuisine that is a
favourite among your customers?
Nasi Berlauk Air Dingin
is by far our
bestseller with at least 400 orders daily. A
lot of people don’t know but
Air Dingin
is
the name of a place in Kelantan where it
originated. It is different from regular

as it is slow cooked and served
with
Ikan Tongkol Gulai Darat.
Where do you seeKFByears fromnow?
It really depends on Firefly. As long as
Firefly is still willing to fly our food, KFB
is here to stay. I also would like to see
my business run on its own in the near
future with the help of an e-order system
that makes it easier for us to keep track.
I’m also planning to start an e-payment
system as we grow since most of our
customers are regular ones.
from what you can get out there. My
suppliers in Kelantan are KFB-exclusive
and they do not produce in bulk quantities
for others.
Howdoyoumanagetokeepthefoodfresh?
Everything is carefully prepared and
packaged to ensure that it lasts at least
until 2pm. Some of them come in sepa-
rate packaging but our
Nasi Berlauk
is
wrapped together as it is meant to be
eaten that way. As for the

comes frozen and lasts much longer.
How has the Firefly cargo service been
for you?
So far, it has been really amazing. I will
be personally notified by Firefly staff,
sometimes even at night, informing me
about flight delays; I appreciate how they
always go the extra mile to help me. Even
the pilots are excited about KFB, some
happily snap pictures with the cargo. So
I can say without doubt, that Firefly has
been very accommodating.
Howbig is KFB?
It really is a one man show but I do
get help from my mother in Kelantan
who acts as my business development
manager. Our five Kuala Lumpur crews
are all professionals. They are doing it
not for the money but because they love
the food. As for the orders, they come
