an independent art-
ist is not exactly a walk
in the park. It takes a lot
of hard work combined
with genuine passion
from someone with pure
talent just like Tiffany.
A free spirit, she has spent many years
exploring different paths and trying to
connect the dots until she finally started
Bulan Lifestyle in December 2010.
Couldyou tell us a littlebit about yourself?
I am a dreamer. I am a free spirit who
loves to wander, to explore, and learn new
things. I am passionate about my art. It is
a reflection of who I am. If you followmy
art journal, you will discover the real me.
How did the idea to start Bulan Lifestyle
come about?
I have always been a believer of following
my passions and to live my dream. In the
beginning, I wasn’t sure what I needed to
do in order to connect the dots, but when
I felt the time was right, I took a leap of
faith, without exactly knowing where I
was going. I still don’t know but I’m okay
with it. If I am happy, I am doing the right
thing.
WhatmakesBulanLifestyleitemsdifferent
and special compared to what we already
have in themarket?
Bulan Lifestyle is created with passion
and my artwork comes from my heart.
Every artwork has a story to tell and the
products I bring to the market are made
locally in Penang. The brand aims to be
socially conscious. I do what I can and I
give back 10%of profits to local charities.

I was presented a challenge to sketch
everyday by my mentor Marianna from
Floating Lemons when I told her that I
found it hard to draw on command. I had
a lot of excuses. I didn’t actually think I
