is always a yearning
inside of us to do some-
thing more with our lives
or at least get more things
done within the span of
24 hours. But to really get
to that can be as difficult
as trying to get some sleep when your
system is still running on espresso and
energy bars.
But this is not only about squeezing
more agenda and completing as many
tasks as possible in one day. The important
thing is to make every second count and
how good does it make you feel towards
the end of the day. Life is too short and we
should devour every second of every day.
The most overused phrase here is ‘live life
to the fullest’.
So here are things that we can do to
make the most of every day:
Start fresh
It is important to kick start the day fresh.
Morning is the most productive time of
the day for most people. Wake up early
Stay calm and positive
They say ‘slow and steady wins the race’
and that exactly is what is needed on daily
basis. In whatever it is that you’re doing
throughout the day, just give it your all.
And if things did not really work out,
convince yourself that you have worked
really hard on them and there is always
a next time. Do not let one tiny little
mishap cancel every other good thing
out. Positivity will take you far towards
the end of the day.
Leave work on time
It is crucial to get to the office on time
and so does leaving it at the end of the
day. The longer you stay and try to finish
up everything, the harder it is for you
to focus and give it your best. Just put
everything aside and write them down
on the top of your to-do list for the next
day. Congratulate yourself for all the job
well done for the day and get some rest
to prepare for the next day. Now you are
a day closer to your well-deserved island
vacation.
and do simple exercises instead of jump-
ing straightaway into shower upon the
first ring of your alarm clock. Breakfast
is crucial as well. Don’t expect world
domination on empty stomach.
Set a goal for the day
Always come up with a list of things to do
for the day. The list has to be realistic and
achievable. Segregate the task according
to time needed for each one of them.
Try to tackle the biggest and most time
consuming task first. The key here is to
prioritise. Having a goal is not that much
about pushing yourself to the limit but
simply to make it possible to put in the
best effort on everything.
Resist the temptation
It is easy to fall prey to the temptation of
checking your email while working at
your desk. Unless your job really relies on
constant messages and instructions sent
via email, try not to go to your inbox every
15 minutes. Those online store deals and
football updates can wait.
That island trip plannedwith your friends seems like ages away? What do you do to
make the days go by faster andmake each of it count?
