Stay:
Reflections, Bangkok
Opting for small boutique type hotels is
something Nini loves. Yet, some can get
expensive. Nini relies a lot on booking sites
like Agoda and Booking.com to see the
best options. She loves a place with a bit
of character and story. One such place is
Reflections in Bangkok. Nini stayed there
a long time ago with her girlfriends for a
4-day spa, shop and indulging on a food
kind of trip.
Terengganu&Kelantan
Drive through the coast, pass through the
sleepy towns, stop by the road for some
fried
lekor
then hit the ports and take a
boat out to the islands for some sparkling
blue waters and dusty white beaches!
Hiddengem: Bhutan
Not really a hidden gembut Nini feels that
the Last Shangri-la in Bhutan is lovely and
should anyone have the budget to indulge
in such a place, this would be it. Nini did a
solo trip for six days to discover the art and
culture of Bhutan and she was completely
floored by the calmness of the country. It is
the perfect place to switch off, sit under a
beautiful Bodhi tree and listen to the wind.
This place manages to take you away to a
place of peace and serenity. The best time
to go is during the spring as you get to see
beautiful wildmagnolias and roses bloom
in the forest.
Adventure: Forest Research Institute Of
Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur
Spending too much time indoors when
Nini works, Kuala Lumpur to Nini is an
amazing place for the simplest adventures.
Waterfalls and hiking trails can be found,
some even just half-an-hour from the city
centre. Nini, who enjoys a cool dip at the
waterfalls after leisurely walking through
the forest puts a place like the Forest
Research Institute of Malaysia or FRIM as
her top choice.
