Pisco Bar -
Delectable Peruvian Dishes
SAVOUR
F
oodies
in Malaysia are a
jaded bunch and always in
search of something new to
excite their taste buds. It is
one of the apparent reasons
why Pisco Bar has become
such a huge hit since it first
opened its doors in JalanMesui, Changkat
Bukit Bintang. And this popularity is not
just for its authentic Peruvian cuisine but
also for its enticing environment where
chic urban locals, trendy expats and thirsty
travellers come for a little bit of dancing
and drinking.
Pisco Bar serves Peruvian
tapas
that
have become a point of reference for
their high benchmark of authenticity
and rich taste. Recognising the diverse
influences in Peruvian cuisine, Pisco Bar
also has a significant variety of some of
the most succulent Spanish
tapas
for you
to choose from. One can look forward to a
unique culinary experience with attached
traditional feel in every dish.
Another thing about the food on the
menu at Pisco Bar is how familiar it is to
our local taste buds. Peruvian cuisines are
known for being fresh, colourful and spicy
... for instance the
Snapper Cebiche
which
is raw snapper cured in a ‘tiger milk’ of
lemon, garlic, fish stock, ice, celery, salt
and chilli. It is the ultimate signature dish
to wake up all of your senses with the
freshness of fish meat drenched in tangy
citrusy goodness.
The
Creama
de
Queso
de
Cabra
is
another dish worth braving through the
heavy weekend traffic of Bukit Bintang.
The
Cream
of
Cabra
(goat) cheese is
served with mushroom croquettes and
caramelised onions. Dished out like a
fancy cocktail in a tall martini glass, each
dip and bite of
Creama de Queso de Cabra
,
leaves the creamy after-taste that make you
reach out for more.
The
Lamb
Rack
is another dish to-
die-for. Grilled rack of lamb served with
stewed vegetables and potato rosti, so
tender that it melts in your mouth with
an explosion of exquisite taste. If you
are concerned about the calorie count,
Pisco Bar’s
Lamb
Rack
is a nice dish to
be shared.
After all the full, fillingmeat dishes, try
out the
Torrijas
which is bread dipped in
cinnamonmilk and fried till golden brown.
The moist bread is soft and creamy on the
inside with sweet sugary taste outside.
Not exactly the usual cake and ice cream
desserts that we are used to,
Torrijas
is a
great example of how something so simple
can taste surprisingly divine.
Pisco Bar is located at 29, Jalan Mesui,
