Serviced Suites is an oasis
of calm in a very busy part
of Kuala Lumpur. Walking
in, I noticed that the lobby
featured very calming pas-
tel colours and there was a very pleasant
smell in the air, the scent being piped
in through the air-conditioning system.

smoothly and professionally by the staff,
who were attentive and very pleasant.
The Director of Sales very kindly took
time out from her busy schedule to give
me a tour of the different rooms that are
available. The rooms were amazing. It was
very obvious that a lot of thought and care
had gone into the designing of the rooms.
There are a variety of rooms available,
ranging from studio suites to 2-bedroom
premier suites. All the bathrooms in the
rooms feature a bathtub and bathroom
toiletries,which are replenished daily.
The 2-bedroom premier suites also have a
study for the busy business person tomake
calls and work in a separate room. The
property also has a gym, a business centre,
two pools and a laundrette. The 2 bedroom
category rooms do come equipped with a
washing machine and a dryer and all the
rooms have a kitchenette area that has a
fridge, electric cooking tops, kettle, toaster
and all the crockery and cutlery that you
may need.
I was given a studio suite on the 28th
floor. Each floor only has 10 rooms, so the
wait for a lift is never long. I was looking
forward to seeing my suite and I loved it
as soon as I walked in. It was a good sized
room that was very homely. It really was
like walking in your own apartment. One
of the things that I really loved about it
was that it wasn’t a soulless room. The
pastel colours and the natural light that
was coming in through the windows
made it feel very homely and comfortable.
There was a state-of-the-art entertainment
system, which is also a feature in all the
rooms. The bathroomwas a good sizewith
a great walk-in shower and bath.
Though I did not have a lot to unpack,
I was impressed with the amount of
wardrobe space that was available. I
decided to go up to the 31
st
floor to check
out the view from the rooftop pool. It
certainly was an impressive, panoramic
view of the city skyline. The water in the
pool sparkled and looked very clean and
well maintained. Being so high up, there
was a lovely cool breeze that felt good on
such a hot day.
The PARKROYAL has a lounge which
serves a Continental breakfast everyday.
In-roomdining is also available from11am
to 9pmdaily. As it was too early for dinner,
I decided to wander around the area. The
