about the difference between a hotel and
serviced suites. Serviced apartments offer
more space and privacy. The kitchen and
other amenities that are provided really do
allow you to feel that you are in your own
apartment. No one bats an eyelid if you
walk around in shorts and slippers and this
prevailing sense of freedom is probably
something that you will not experience
in a hotel.
famous food street, Jalan Alor, is very
close by, as is Changkat Bukit Bintang
and the Lot 10 shopping mall. There are
no shortages of places to eat and drink in
this area, with all tastes buds catered for.
I had dinner out and returned to my
room. Every member of staff that I passed
by in the lobby had a warm smile and
greeting. The bed in the room was very
comfortable and I had a great night’s sleep.
Breakfast was served in the lounge
and, it being a Sunday, was very busy.
The staff coped very well though and the
wait for a table was not a long one. The
Continental breakfast had a good selection
of food on offer. Some of the items avail-
able were fresh fruit, dried fruit, different
types of breads, as well as a selection of
hot dishes. The chefs replenished the
food very quickly as soon as the dish ran
low, so there was no shortage. There was
also an egg station where a chef did your
eggs ala-minute for you. The food was
delicious and the service delightful.
I checked out feeling rested and well
fed. The PARKROYAL really did make me
feel like I was in a home away fromhome.
